dbmail-forward seems to damage multimime-messages-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1 Hy, i trie to explain the problem as good as i can: Only multi-mime-messages are affected Here two sample-mails which the same mta-hops, finally both are relayed to "root@..." which finally points to me. Directly to this address dbmail is not involved and the mail would not be changed. Both are the same html-mail with the simple line ".TEST" as multi-mime-message -> Look at the "..TEST" in the second one Received: by mail.thelounge.net (Postfix, from userid 493) -> 493 = dbmail on fedora If we send to "transport@..." postfix relays to dbmail-lmtp, dbmail looks in the alias-table and forwards to "root@...", in this step the leading dot is added. I think this happens while forwarding because final destination is for both ways dbmail-lmtp and my inbox This are two sample-mail-routings to find out what kills our html-mails from mailman running on "thx1138.thelounge.net" which is an lan-only-maching targeted only with forward-adress from the mainserver ________________________________ MAIL DIRECTLY WITHOUT DBMAIL-LMTP: Received: from arrakis.thelounge.net (arrakis.thelounge.net [10.0.0.6]) by mail.thelounge.net (Postfix) with ESMTP id 5AABAD1 for <h.reindl@...>; Sat, 15 Aug 2009 23:20:16 +0200 (CEST) Received: from thx1138.thelounge.net (thx1138.thelounge.net [10.0.0.30]) by arrakis.thelounge.net (Postfix) with ESMTP id 362913604B for <h.reindl@...>; Sat, 15 Aug 2009 23:19:52 +0200 (CEST) Received: by thx1138.thelounge.net (Postfix) id 8A01D18074; Sat, 15 Aug 2009 23:19:52 +0200 (CEST) Delivered-To: root@... Re: dbmail-forward seems to damage multimime-messagesI can not believe that i'am the only person with this problem and i speak about e real big problem - In near future we have to migrate 10.000 addresses to a new server which will be linux/dbmail instead osx/eims and all html-mails with css get destroyed The same with a normal forward From the 10.000 addresses are 90% percent forwards to external addresses Am 15.08.2009 23:35, schrieb Reindl Harald: > > Hy, i trie to explain the problem as good as i can: > Only multi-mime-messages are affected > > Here two sample-mails which the same mta-hops, finally both are relayed to > "root@..." which finally points to me. Re: dbmail-forward seems to damage multimime-messagesThank you! Can i use this patch for rpm-SPEC? So i would try to rebuild our package asap and give feedback ____ BTW: Why are sender/recipient so strange in autoreplies from dbmail? The first problem is that the address in From-Field is the recipient which many spam-firewalls and MUA does not like and the To-Field is "undisclosed-recipients" I had also cases where "From" and "To" are inverted Because of the "Replycache" which should prevent from "ping-pong" between mailsevers i see no reason and only problems for this behavier Greetings from Vienna Am 07.10.2009 15:27, schrieb Paul J Stevens: > Reindl Harald wrote: >> I can not believe that i'am the only person with this problem and i speak about e real big >> problem - In near future we have to migrate 10.000 addresses to a new server which will be >> linux/dbmail instead osx/eims and all html-mails with css get destroyed > > I've fixed this in my git tree. > > for 2.3: > http://git.dbmail.eu/cgit/cgit.cgi/paul/dbmail/patch/?id=295a2e3a3e76a3e81768d43e0e5a5e031db8c0b5 > > for 2.2: > http://git.dbmail.eu/cgit/cgit.cgi/paul/dbmail/patch/?id=2897e657c5fd1378cea5f2339e335acf4c6070e9 _______________________________________________ DBmail mailing list DBmail@... http://mailman.fastxs.nl/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/dbmail |

Re: dbmail-forward seems to damage multimime-messagesI love the fedora-maintainers :-)
Here are pacthed packages for F11 http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=135515 I would recommend a official update to fix this bug because it is the hell for mailadmins to get problem-reports about such things after migration from another software and most of them do not found the patch or unable to use it Thank you again for your response Am 07.10.2009 17:39, schrieb Reindl Harald: > > I need some help - output from "rpmbuild -bb dbmail.spec": > https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=527690 > > + umask 022 > + cd /home/builduser/rpmbuild/BUILD > + LANG=C > + export LANG > + unset DISPLAY > + cd /home/builduser/rpmbuild/BUILD > + rm -rf dbmail-2.2.11 > + /usr/bin/gzip -dc /home/builduser/rpmbuild/SOURCES/dbmail-2.2.11.tar.gz > + /bin/tar -xf - > + STATUS=0 > + '[' 0 -ne 0 ']' > + cd dbmail-2.2.11 > + /bin/chmod -Rf a+rX,u+w,g-w,o-w . > + echo 'Patch #0 (0001-backport-fix-to-prevent-showing-mailboxes-more-than.patch):' > Patch #0 (0001-backport-fix-to-prevent-showing-mailboxes-more-than.patch): > + /bin/cat > /home/builduser/rpmbuild/SOURCES/0001-backport-fix-to-prevent-showing-mailboxes-more-than.patch > + /usr/bin/patch -s -p1 -b --suffix .duplicate-email-boxes --fuzz=0 > + echo 'Patch #1 (dbmail-forward-doublepoint.patch):' > Patch #1 (dbmail-forward-doublepoint.patch): > + /bin/cat /home/builduser/rpmbuild/SOURCES/dbmail-forward-doublepoint.patch > + /usr/bin/patch -s -p1 -b --suffix .dbmail-forward-doublepoint --fuzz=0 > 2 out of 2 hunks FAILED -- saving rejects to file pipe.c.rej > Fehler: Fehler-Status beim Beenden von /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.gvzT7U (%prep) > > Am 07.10.2009 15:27, schrieb Paul J Stevens: >> Reindl Harald wrote: >>> I can not believe that i'am the only person with this problem and i speak about e real big >>> problem - In near future we have to migrate 10.000 addresses to a new server which will be >>> linux/dbmail instead osx/eims and all html-mails with css get destroyed >> >> I've fixed this in my git tree. >> >> for 2.3: >> http://git.dbmail.eu/cgit/cgit.cgi/paul/dbmail/patch/?id=295a2e3a3e76a3e81768d43e0e5a5e031db8c0b5 >> >> for 2.2: >> http://git.dbmail.eu/cgit/cgit.cgi/paul/dbmail/patch/?id=2897e657c5fd1378cea5f2339e335acf4c6070e9 > > > > _______________________________________________ > DBmail mailing list > DBmail@... > http://mailman.fastxs.nl/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/dbmail Reindl Harald the lounge interactive design GmbH A-1060 Vienna | Hofmühlgasse 17 software-development / cms-solutions phone: +43 (1) 595 3999 33 cellular: +43 (676) 40 221 40 icq: 154546673 mailto:h.reindl@... http://www.thelounge.net/ _______________________________________________ DBmail mailing list DBmail@... http://mailman.fastxs.nl/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/dbmail |
