debian lenny, some thoughtsHi,
I wanted to let you know that *currently* galeon on debian lenny works surprisingly well: - acroread plugin works - please don't break that once again! - flash works but flashblock doesn't work. Maybe you could built-in flashblock into galeon? It's the most useful thing ever. You know in the top menu: Web->Allow Java Web->Allow JavaScript Web->Allow Flash (please add this one!) Another idea: When I right-click on image I have an "Open with" menu available. There are a lot of apps to chose from! This is great. Can you, please, add exactly the same menu, when I right click on a link? I think it wouldn't be too difficult for you code-wise. I'm asking for that, because in this menu I can "Open with->Opera". This will make it possible to open a link in alternative browser, when I need to. It will be extremely useful in some cases, because now I need to copy/paste the URL when I need to use opera. thanks a lot, -- Janek Kozicki ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Galeon-user mailing list Galeon-user@... https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/galeon-user |

You know in the top menu: The problem with flashblock is that the new version of Gecko or XULRunner or whatever it is has stopped listening to ~/.galeon/mozilla/galeon/Chrome/userContent.css (or whatever the file is). This is, presumably, part of Mozilla's ploy to convince us that Firefox --- in reality a pretty average browser --- is one of the best, by breaking other browsers. The whole feature needs to be added, because unless you can control the appearance of webpages it becomes really difficult to read them. > Another idea: > > When I right-click on image I have an "Open with" menu available. > There are a lot of apps to chose from! Well in order to do that you'll need to know the mimetype of the file. Otherwise how are you meant to know if it's an image or not, to put the right menu in? But then, I'm not a Galeon dev, just a rabid fanboi. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Galeon-user mailing list Galeon-user@... https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/galeon-user |
