Hi,

I just reinstalled my whole system (new harddrive) but now xfce refuses
to show icons which are in SVG format.
Which application do I need to recompile to get svg support after I made
sure libsvg is installed? the panel? the desktop? thunar?

Gtk (gdk-pixbuf).

librsvg -- I guess libsvg was a typo -- provides the pixbuf loader. If
it may help, in Debian it is provided in a separate package,
ilbrsvg2-common, and neither the lib nor the bin packages seem to
depend/recommend/suggest it.

/var/log/slim.log:(firefox-bin:80545): Gtk-WARNING **: Error loading theme icon 'gtk-dialog-warning' for stock: Unable to load image-loading module: /usr/local/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/loaders/svg_loader.so: Cannot open "/usr/local/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/loaders/svg_loader.so"

said it all... installing librsvg2 and that was it...

Both xfwm4 and xfdesktop4 recommend it.
