documents with linked http images embeddedHi Oo Collective,
I have a bunch of documents that have been created with images that appear to be still linked to the original image on the web. This causes a problem that any editing is _dreadfully_ slow, similarly anything that causes the document to be re-rendered. (I am running 3.0.1 from the fedora 10 repository) Is there any way to copy all the images into the document, and remove the links. There doesn't seem to be any options to do this per images, however I have a few hundred images that I would like to automatically copy from the web into the document. Cheers, Tom --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscribe@... For additional commands, e-mail: users-help@... |

It appears to open on my machine and looks fine, but when emailed, the copy there has the framework for the images, but no images. The size of the file was far too small to be anything but links. I tried saving as pdf, ppt, odf, all exhibited this problem. But local copy worked fine. I have discovered that slide shows created with the extension and OO.o 3.1.0 exhibit exactly the behavior. Can anyone tell me what settings to change so the "gentleman" will create files I can share? Yes: o Go to Edit | Links... . o Use click, Shift+click, and Ctrl+click as necessary to select the relevant links. o Click Break Link. o Save your document. I trust this helps. I even used a thumb drive to copy the presentation file, not the original image to a different laptop and it worked file. All the images was there on the slides. But I did not copy the original images to the different laptop. There must have been some way you inserted the image into the presentation as a linked image, not an included image. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscribe@...
