duplicates

Hello,

I noticed sometime ago, that I got duplicate events under kronolith. We add
a meeting between universities here, and it appears that they have the same
problems.

Trying to reproduce, I used iPhone Synthesys Todo+Cal+Sync and
Thunderbird+Lightning+Funambol.

In fact, if I try to modify an event entered a few weeks ago and which is
not in the past (haven't try that case), I got duplicates.
Now, if I add an event, synchronise, change it, no duplicates.
I have just to try every day to see when, it begins to duplicate.


What I can say, is that we used to test to different software, synthesys and
funambol and got the same behaviour. So it's an horde related problem. And
it's very annoying for the staff here.

Has somebody an explanation and a solution..

The last time i had problems with duplicates it was  
http://bugs.horde.org/ticket/8386. Maybe try the solution listed  
there. As far as i can tell the bug introduced in Horde 3.3.4

I tried to apply this patch, some of them were rejected during the last
horde webmel patch upgrade. I'm still having the same problems. I don't know
if it will correct the future events, but the bug still apply to old events.
Can you modify events you entered a long time ago (don't really knwo how
much time, say: weeks) and check it it duplicates for you

The bug mentioned will prevent creating syncml-entries in some cases.  
So for the events already synced you create once again duplicates  
after applying the patch and no more further because this time the  
syncml database will be updated. So if you really want to make sure  
the problem is solved you should start from scratch by either reset  
your device data or the server data and than sync again.
