I went ahead and split some audio into tracks using Audacity set Snap To CDDA sectors.
Then I started `dvda-author -g input/*`.
In the screen output I saw:

[MSG]  Size of raw PCM data: 298 bytes (0.00  MB)

This clearly is wrong, of course. Also there was an extra newline above the message.

I see that the lengths as displayed below the `DVD Layout` text (again one new line too many) shows singe digit lengths where the files are at least a few MB's each.
Permission and owner etc are correct.

What is wrong? Why can't dvda-author read my WAVs?

Udo

It appears that dvd-author does not like the 'metadata' that Audacity puts in the WAV files. How can I keep Audacity from doing that?

For me it's on to the next step...

I had no issues with audacity myself. You can use shntool as an excellent command-line alternative.

It appears that dvd-author does not like the 'metadata' that Audacity puts in
the WAV files. How can I keep Audacity f
rom doing that?

Hello,

Also dvda-author could be more forgiving about the WAVs it has to read: i.e.: ignore other chunks and only care for the data chunk.
Maybe just read the first few KB's, scan for chunks and find the start of the data chunk, use that one and ignore any trailing chunks.
