eagle project name and hours spentI am using TM '09. I have looked around and consulted the help manual. I can't seem to find how to enter the eagle "project name" and the "Total hours". These will eventually appear on the "Eagle Application Assistance" report.

Re: eagle project name and hours spentTo my knowledge there isn't a way to do that in TM -- although I don't know why!!!?? When I submitted my son's Eagle Application Assistance Form to the Council, they said to hand write the name of the project & hours -- and that this was the norm. Again, why??

Re: Re: eagle project name and hours spentI guess I'm not understanding the need on this. The Eagle Application should be filled out by the Eagle candidate. Can he not remember this information, or pull it from his Eagle Project Workbook when the time comes?

Re: Re: eagle project name and hours spentThe Eagle Assistance Report basically puts all MB rank dates on one better organized piece of paper. Essentially an aid to filling out the BSA's Eagle Application. The Eagle Application does not ask for number of service project hours, and a minimum number of hours is not required by National. This may be part of why the TM folks omitted this. I believe the Individual History/Transfer Report does provide more detail on service projects, other awards, etc., and can be an asset to planning the Eagle COH. Re: Re: eagle project name and hours spentStarting last October the Eagle app does ask for the name of the project and
the grand total of hours. The Eagle processor can not submit without that on it. Re: eagle project name and hours spentFor our council a handwritten application is not necessary if the troop uses troopmaster. The advancement chair may email in a troop verified eagle application assistance report. Council then uses this report to generate a verified application which is picked up by the troop.

Re: Re: eagle project name and hours spentIs there a place for signatures? My council wants the signatures and dates.

Re: Re: eagle project name and hours spentThe TroopMaster application assistance report doesn't let you enter any reference names except for the parents or am I missing something? Are you telling us that your council doesn't require any references, but the parents? Also you're telling us that it's not the Eagle Scout responsibility anymore to fill out his application? What else isn't the Eagle Scout Candidate's responsibility anymore? No wonder we just celebrated our 2 millionth Eagle Scout.
