Problema post installazione Endian 2.3

Buongiorno a tutti!
ho appena installato la "efw 2.3", ma ho un problema e non riesco a uscirne:

Ho assegnato alla green interface l'ip 10.10.40.1 e non riesco in alcun modo ad aprire l'interfaccia di amministrazione.

La macchina non risponde ai ping e non pinga alcun host nella stessa subnet.
Ho controllato con un "ifconfig" e ho notato che l'ip 10.10.40.1 è assegnato alla interfaccia "br0" mentre alla eth0 non è assegnato alcun indirizzo.

Mi sto perdendo in un bicchier d'acqua?

Apertura porte Firewall

Ciao a tutti, questa è la prima esperienza con Endian FW vers. 2.2 e tutto funziona bene a parte qualche problema con le porte che a quanto pare risultano tutte chiuse. Ad esempio nelle specifiche tecniche avevo letto che Endian differentemente da IPCOP non aveva la possibilità di inibire i ping dall'esterno, in realtà ho poi scoperto che la porta preposta al ping era di default chiusa. Ora ho invece la necessità di aprire la porta 1194 per connettermi ad OpenVPN, ma nonostante la creazione dell'opportuna regola in "Accesso al sistema" nonchè quella di forwarding porta UDP 1194 verso ind. IP del FW, di entrare non se ne parla e sono certo che la porta risulta chiusa perchè l'ho testata collegandomi all'indirizzo http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/

Problema VPN IPSEC stampante di rete

Ciao.
Sapete dirmi come mai dopo aver creato una vpn con IPSEC riesco a comunicare con tutti i PC delle due sedi ma non vedo le stampanti di rete.
Ho provato con tracert e mi fermo al firewall come posso risolvere il problema.

efw dns e dhcp

Salve a tutti ,
Utilizzo come firewall router efw su una piccola rete interna (circa 200
client misti win/*nix) e da qui l'esigenza di un dhcpd funzionante al
meglio,
con dnsmasq ho dei problemi, nel senso che quando funziona il dhcpd il
resolver ( che e' una delle cose per cui lo uso al posto di bind/dhcpd)
va in palla,
non mi risolve piu' niente, nemmeno aggiungendo i record a mano nel
files /etc/hosts: che fare?
Non posso fare un cron con un kill e ripartenza di dnsmasq ogni dieci
minuti, per il momento ho settato bind/dhcpd su un'altro host, ma non e'
quello che cercavo,
alla sera tutti i pc vengono spenti tranne casi particolari (quelli
collegati al sistema di allarme) ma non posso far girare su questi un
resolver, perche' dns masq non funziona?

informazioni su adsl multiple e bilanciamento dei servizi

Salve,

vorrei sapere se è possibile con EF gestire + connessioni adsl contemporaneamente nel mio caso telecom + eutelia. Mi immagino ci vorranno 2 schede di rete.

Vorrei poter generare delle regole che dicano : se il pacchetto viene dall'adsl 1 sulla porta 80 lascialo passare, se il pacchetto viene dall'adsl 2 sulla porta 22 bloccalo o qualcosa del genere, è possibile ?

In + vorrei bilanciare il carico tra le 2 adsl tipo : la posta su una adsl e la navigazione sull'altra, è possibile ?

Per quanto mi sebra di ricordare, iptables in Endian non dovrebbe permettere alcuna connessione dall'esterno se non esplicitamente dichiarata, quindi anche i pacchetti TCP SYN dovrebbero essere rifiutati.

problema con il proxy

Ciao a tutti
Mi trovo difronte ad un problema strano.
Ho spento endian un giorno perche volevo fare riposare il pc
sul quale è installato ma al suo riavvio non riuscivo piu a navigare.
Allora ho provato a vedere nella sezione proxy dato che l'avevo
abilitata ed era attiva ma si è disabilatato la voce del DNS
e non vuole più attivarsi.
Se tento di attivarlo e poi guardo nella legenda iniziale mi dice che
è DISATTIVATO pur se la casella in dns è attiva.
Il proxy è utile perche avevo attivo l'antivirus clavantivirus.
-Qualcuno sa dirmi se l'unica soluzione è quella di reinstallarlo,
oppure se c'e altro da fare evitando così di riconfigurarlo tutto?
-Come mai l'antiviurs di endian non riconsoce tutti i virus che
si trovano navigando?

R: endian al posto del cisco vpn

Ho una vpn a cui posso accedere mediante il client "cisco vpn". Vorrei tirar
su la vpn, piuttosto che con il client suddetto, mediante endian.
Ma, se uso la parte ipsec di endian, ho un messagio di "invalid_cookie".
Uso una configurazione road-warrior con psk.
Qualcuno ha esperienze in merito?

Amministrazione limitata

Ho già lavorato tempo fa su un proxy con questa caratteristica, sempre dell'amministrazione via web, e mi piacerebbe implementarla su ENDIAN: 1 amministratore generale con tutti i permessi, 1 amministratore limitato che per esempio può solo amministrare gli utenti e i filtri web.

l'antivirus di endian si disabilita senza motivo

Ho un problema al quanto strano con endian
L'installazione è andata a buon fine ma quanto tento di abilitare l'antivirus,
nella sezione proxy,
mi succede una cosa strana; il firewall perde la funzionalità ,e nella pagina
principale,
mi dice che è "inattivo" con il colore rosso.
Io entro nella sezione proxy, abilito il proxy come prima cosa , poi clicco
su salva ,
poi su "abilita antivurs" e poi salva e riavvia.
A questo punto riavvio endian e a una volta riavviato quando tento di
navigare , non mi trova le pagine.
Quindi rientro in endian e vedo che la prima pagina che si vede appena
entrati ,
mi dice che è "inattivo" ed è rossa , allora clicclo su "connetti" ma quando
lo riavvio per
rendere effettive le modifiche me lo fa ritornare inattivo.
Sembra che non riesca a salvare il tutto quando io clicclo su "abilita
anvirus" è lui che da problemi.
Se clicclo solo su proxy attivo sulla green invece non fa questo "casino"
E' un po strano, ma purtroppo è vero.
Qualcuno sa dirmi come devo fare x abilitare l'antivirus in modo che possa
funzionare correttamente?

ho installato la versione 2.2 rc3 ed ho attivato la Open VPN con connessione tramite certificato server + nome utente e password e tutto funziona regolarmente... non so se vuole possiamo fare qualche comparazione di impostazioni...

Endian 2.2 rc3 - problema con indirizzi https e porta 8443 (timeout)

Salve a tutti,

ho installato Endian sulla rete circa un mese fa e tutto procede bene.

Solo ieri quando sono andato a collegarmi ad un indirizzo https://nome_dominio.com:8443 ho ottenuto un errore di timeout del browser... ho provato su più pc, e con diversi browser, ma ho sempre lo stesso errore. (collegandomi direttamente al router invece tutto funziona)

Ho provato anche a disattivare il proxy/content filter, ma il problema rimane.

I siti in https funziona regolarmente, il problema sembra presentarsi solo in presenza di porta dopo indirizzo.

Certificate Error

Hi,

I'm new in this list and also in Endian Firewall even if I've some experience in other firewall applications. I've installed EFW 2.1.2 on an HP Proliant ML110 computer. This is a low cost HP server that I decided to use as firewall. The installation has gone well (even if the integrated gigabit nic, BROADBAND NC105i, were not detected while the other two added gigabit nics, also HP brand but with Intel 82572EI chipset, were). Now I've to decide if it's useful for me to work for compiling the driver (very hard!). A temporary solution has been to add another nic detected by the software.

Another thing is that during installation I didn't accept the default ip address (192.168.0.15) but I used some useful for my network.

But now I've another problem. Logging in to the box I have always an error message that says: "...the security certificate of this web site have been released for the address of another web site..." and, even if I can go ahead with the work, the address bar of my windows browser become and stay red. Because the certificate is automatically generated by the system I don't know what could be happen. I didn't find any help on the manual and on the forums. Anyone can help me?

Web server

Ciao.
Nella rete aziendale, che si trova dietro ad efw, ci sono due web server su cui si trovano due web application.
Ho usato due macchine perchè le appliazioni usano tecnologie differenti e perchè comunque non è conveniente che risiedano sulla stessa macchina.
Ho già registrato un dominio del tipo www.mionome.it che punta all'indirizzo ip che mi è stato assegnato dall'ISP e dal quale efw reindirizza le chiamate sulla porta 80 ad uno sei due server web.
Posso utilizzare lo stesso indirizzo web anche per il secondo web server?
Pensavo di registrare un dominio di terzo livello che punti allo stesso indirizzo di quello di secondo (miosettore.mionome.it) e poi pensavo alla possibilità da parte di efw di reindirizzare le chiamate alternativamente alle due macchine a livello di host header.
E' possibile tutto ciò.
Se si come si fa?
Se no c'è una soluzione alternativa?

Problema update bigblacklist

Ho un problema dopo aver aggiornato la blacklist di endian 2.1, se seleziono il filtro contenuti sulla categoria porn non mi consente di visualizzare nessuna pagina web.
Qualcuno sa come risolvere il problemino.

Salve, ho una macchina dalla quale non ho la possibilità di installare cd-rom, ho provato a fare il boot con lettore cd usb ma il bios non me permettere di farlo.

Come posso fare a caricare il sistema operativo Endian?

La macchina in questione è una Fabia Tech modello M5420, acquistata da LinITX.

Ho montato una CF Extreme III da 2 GB ed un HDD 2.5” da 160Gb (che voglio usare per i log).

Vorrei capire come poter caricare il sistema sulla CF.

E’ possibile farlo via rete (PXE)?

Se si quali file devo mettere in /tftpboot ????

C’è una iso per le CF?

Ciao a tutti,

utilizzo Endian Firewall versione 2.1, e molte volte rm capita se il server di posta interno non riesce a scaricare le email.

Per risolvere il problema devo disabilitare la scansione sul protocollo pop3 di endian, oppure a volte basta aggiornare l'antivirus manualmente su endian.

In casi estremi bisogna riavviare il firewall e poi riparte senza problemi.

Capita a qualcuno un problema simile?

Come posso risolvere?

loosing the static routes

I was installed the efw beta 2.2 with four red interfaces.
I was copy the main uplink in four subfolders with name : uplink1 -2 ans so on.
All the red iinterfaces is appearing in web gui and have traffic.

In etc/init.d/rc.local i was make the changes like :

route del default

ip route add default equalize scope global nexthop via 10.0.10.101 dev eth1 weight 1 nexthop via 10.0.11.102 dev eth2 weight 1 etc..

The same thing i was done and for files in /var/efw/inithooks (start.local and updatewizard.local)
and i remove default gateways.

After the restart the routes is lost and i must put in again in shel. After an some hours the routes
again is losting. It make me crazy.
I was try and with efw 2.1 community ed. with the same results. The routes is lost after some time.

In ipcop i have not this problem.

Any help is appreciated.

ho effettuato la prova con la versione stabile, purtroppo senza

Ora, io sono sicuro che non vi sono motivi di networking per cui lui non riesca a fare questa quella query (da una macchina sempre linux, nella stessa configurazione di rete, riesco). D'altra parte immagino che non vi siano motivi "applicativi" o di sistema operativo (immagino che vi siano configurazioni funzionati e testate).
Il KDC è lo stesso domain controller che inserisco come server DNS e che specifico nella sezione autenticazione usando come backend windows.

Magari sbaglio qualcosa io, ma nella documentazione non ho trovato una guida "passo-passo" per la configurazione usando l'autenticazione su active directory, eventualmente me ne sapresti indicare uno?

Autenticazione su Active Directory (windows 2003)

Ciao a tutti,

in azienda avremmo intenzione di adottare endian firewall come soluzione
alternativa a MS ISA server, per alcuni clienti.

Da alcune prove effettuate, però (sia con la release stabile che con
quella in beta) ci risulta impossibile effettuare la join al dominio.

Con la release stabile, sembra che la join sia stata fatta correttamente
e i log di samba non dicono molto, ma poi non riesco a vedere la lista
dei gruppi che ho sulla struttura active directory, ma solo
"Administrators" e "users".

Con la release beta, la join non riesce e nei log di samba trovo
riferimenti all'impossibilità di contattare il server KDC (che dovrebbe
essere il domain controller impostato come PDC).
Sembra che il problema sia dovuto all'impossibiltà di risolvere il
record SRV _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.NOME.DOMINIO.

Su endian firewall non sono disponibili i comandi host e nslookup,
quindi mi risulta impossibile verificare che il record SRV sia
risolvibile da quella macchina, ma da un'altra macchina con
caratteristiche simili (a livello di networking), il record è
correttamente risolvibile e viene risolto nei 3 domain controller della
nostra struttura.

Ho controllato più volte la knoledge base e googlato parecchio, ma senza
fortuna. Nel caso pensiate sia dovuto ad una mancata sincronizzazione
dell'ora, ho provveduto a far sincronizzare l'endian firewall con il DC,
inoltre ho inserito i vari DC nel file hosts di endian in modo che siano
correttamente raggiungibili via nome host.

Suggerimenti?

Su una macchina ho installato la Endian Comunity 2, successivamente ho installato una scheda ethernet WLAN della Netgear ma questa non viene riconosciuta, anche se dal comando lspci viene vista:

Come faccio a installare I driver?

C’è la possibilità di installare apt, yum o altro?

Vedo che non c’è neanche make, gcc etc…per compilare!

Tra l’altro ho provato a lanciare il comando “kudzu” per il rilevamente hw ma senza nessun risultato.

La rete che amministro ha questa struttura:

Il ruter ha indirizzo privato 192.168.1.x.
Al router è collegato il firewal (endian): la macchina ha due schede di rete e gli indirizzi sono 192.168.1.x, verso il router e 192.168.0.x dalla parte della rete aziendale.
A valle del firewal, naturalmente tutte le macchine hanno indirizzo 192.168.0.x (si tratta di un dominio windows).

Il provider internet mi ha fornito diversi indirizzi pubblici tra i quali uno viene utilizzato per la navigazione mentre un altro è nattato con un indirizzo privato del tipo 192.168.1.x.

Questo indirizzo viene utilizzato per un web server che si vede correttamente dall'esterno.
Questo web server è naturalmente collegato direttamente al router.

Il problema che vorrei porre è che se cerco di visualizzare delle pagine web che si trovano sul webServer dall'interno della rete aziendale utilizzando il suo indirizzo pubblico il firewall mi blocca la visualizzazione delle pagine.

Cosa posso fare per risolvere questo problema?
Come posso fare ad accedere al webServer dall'interno della rete aziendale (cioè da PC con indirizzo 192.168.0.x)?

ATA RAID rilevato ma non utilizzato

Buongiorno a tutti,
sono molto interessato a questo progetto, quindi mi sono armato di ISO e ho provato ad installarlo su un mio server.

La macchina in questione è un HP Proliant ML330 con un dannato controller ATA RAID ServerWorks CSB-6 ATA-100
Il controller, secondo hp, è di LSI Logic

con l'ultima community iso, ma anche la penultima, il controller viene rilevato e dmesg mi dice che lavora 100% native mode sull'IRQ 11

tuttavia mancano evidentemente dei moduli kernel perchè non viene creato alcun device (tipo /dev/sdc)

se tento di continuare l'installazione mi propone di installare direttamente su /dev/hdc e poi di creare un raid software su /dev/hde che sono i due dischi ide gestiti dal controller.

In ogni modo se procedo nell'installazione, al riavvio della macchina, il bios del controller lamenta dei problemi con il mirror quindi riavvia senza possibilità per me di andare oltre.

Non c'è modo di disabilitare quel controller da bios quindi devo riuscire a farlo funzionare.
Se ci fosse bisogno di qualche log per capire meglio il problema non ho problemi a produrli.

Chiedo suggerimenti per risolvere il mio problema.

Community verison 2.1.2. The Endian Firewall Community is a "turn-key"
Linux security distribution that turns every system into a full featured
security appliance. Designed with “usability in mind”, Endian produced a

This new release contains several minor though significant new features
and major bugfixes. The 2.1.2 has build up from the 2.1.1 version,
fixing the SATA support system and allowing for a wizard after
installation that ask to set up the passwords (root and administrator).
In addition, this new release enables the possibility of restoring a
backup directly after installation, and of blocking incoming connections
coming through the VPN [#210].

firewall not work on differnet subnet

I've an endian with LAN IP Address 192.168.1.253 and the other subnets are connected by MPLS. The others subnets needed to connet to a database using the 50000 tcp port. From subnet 192.168.1.0 it's ok but from the other not work even if in the firewall's log it said "outgoing"
I've just manually added the static routes for the others subnets
please help me!!!

problemi client internet

Nella anzienda dove lavoro ho un dhcp e solo i pc che hanno IP 10.119.x.x
possono navigare (dhcp con prenotazione fissa) gli altri dati DNS e gateway
sono uguali per tutta la rete
sto "provando" ad usare efw soprattutto come proxy
Ho configurato
l'interfaccia verde con indirizzo fisso 10.0.70.254 con e senza trasparent
proxy
l'interfaccia rossa con indirizzo dhcp con prenotazione di classe idonea che
possa navigare 10.0.119.210

ho settato il proxy di firefox su un nuovo pc di prova con ubuntu e funziona
non funziona links e wget

Non c'è un automatismo per aggiornare la black-list dei siti da non
visitare??? (/etc/dansguardian/blacklists)
Non trovando nessuna opzione ho visto su internet uno script che lo fa ma
utilizza il comando wget (non presente)
c'è un modo per automatizzare lo scarico del file bigblacklist.tar.gz
o devo fare a manina???

Inoltre avevo visto su ipcop che c'era un opzione per mascherare il tipo di
client internet (far vedere IS come Lynx WOOWWW)
ultima cosa ftp su ssh non funziona WHY??
