I can't send email to email addresses containing IDN domains.

e.g. user@kühne.example.net

The problem is that FeLaMiMail sends "user@kühne.example.net" instead of "user@..." to the SMTP server.

In order to be ambitious I would transform this into a template request like

With a definition like these, people could make his particular templates, and use top posting, bottom posting, signature before the replied body, or signature after the replied body

basically you need 3 templates new, forward and reply

Hi.

I have noticed that the tracker email notifications have a less meaningful subject than in 1.4

In 1.4 the email subject was :

Tracker Queue - Tracker ID: Tracker subject

in 1.6 and trunk is:

# Tracker ID - Tracker subject

so is not including the tracker queue!!!

also the notification email is coming from the user that creates the tracker or makes the changes, and not from the Tracking system: Tracker Queue < like i the 1.4 version when you not define any from email in the tracker configuration.

Is this a "feature", a "known bug", or something that could be adjusted?

When you see a tracker, you can see the list of attached files, but not the date of the attachments, It would be great to be able to see the attached date. (ie if you need to upload a file, to check which version is newer)

also, the history page don't show any entry regarding the attachments, it should shown a line for each attachment like

Date User Atthacment File Name Added or Deleted

also the notification should list the files attached on this modification.

The status indicator of main project should take into account the statuses of subprojects. I don't know, how it generates now, but I suspect it takes the tasks times (real/planned) ratios.

The subproject overall status should have priority here. I have the main project, inside there are just 4 subprojects and nothing more (subprojects have tasks inside of them of course). All subprojects are manually marked 100%, however the main project's indicator is hardly at 10%. It should be 100% I think.

Zhrnutie: #2366 - Calendar planning conflict should not be ignorable for resources

If a resource is added as participant of event, or if resource is being booked, obviously, Calendar Event Edit window is used. If there is a planning conflict for some event participant, user can choose, whether the conflict should be ignored (thus paralell event appears in the calendar), or program should search for free time, or return to editation mode in order to resolve the conflict manually i.e. by adjusting the time of event, or removing the participant.

However, the possibility to ignore planning conflict should NOT be available, if the conflict affects some resource!

Could You set the Subject to "Planned date field"? The Closed date is covered by #633 and it seems for me, that better to keep these two requests separately.

I'd like the Planned date field very much.

Moreover, if "planned time" was possible (but NON-MANDATORY) both with "planned duration" (again, NON-MANDATORY).

Then we could think of displaying these in Calendar (separate feature).

Zusammenfassung: #2361 - Temporary files left over

Lots of temporary files cumulate in /tmp directory. Based on file names I searched and found two sources:

./calendar/inc/class.calendar_sif.inc.php:93: $tmpfname = tempnam('/tmp/sync/contents','sife_');

./calendar/inc/class.calendar_uiforms.inc.php:669: $ics_file = tempnam($GLOBALS['egw_info']['server']['temp_dir'],'ics');

I have no /tmp/sync directory, so tempnam seems to give path to /tmp.

In addition to these I get files names like /tmp/19cfa4b0c4a29f66660b8d4f4bf4107365icswmxgzE. I could not find the source so do not know if they belong to calendar or where. Many contain VCALENDAR METHOD:request VEVENT, but others look like they could just be e-mail attachments.

Are these files necessary? Why are not they removed?

I run eGW on openSUSE 10.3. I installed eGW from the repository http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/server%3a/eGroupWare/openSUSE_10.3.

/tmp contains as the name implies temporary files.
It's the task of your system administrator (or scripts employed by him) to regularly clean up /tmp.

if you use a development version and get an error msg a column does not exist, you should go to setup an run the updates ;-)

Summary: #2082 - Sommerzeit /Winterzeit Problematik bei der Synchronisation

Termine die in egroupware in der Sommerziet auf einen Termin in der Winterzeit eingetragen werden, werden (zumindest auf dem Palm) eine Stunden nach hinten korrigiert. Umgekehrt wenn der Termin in der Winterzeit auf einen Termin in der Sommerzeit eingetragen wird.

Beispiel 1:

Es ist Sommerzeit. Ein Termin der auf den 26.10.2009 09:00 Uhr gesetzt wird erscheint auf dem Palm um 10:00 Uhr.

Beispiel 2:

Es Winterzeit. Ein Termin der auf 01.06.2009 auf 9:00 Uhr gesetzt wird erscheint auf dem Palm um 08:00 Uhr.

Da dieses Problem schon seit Version 1.4.004 besteht, nimmt es mich Wunder dass bisher noch keine Lösung gefunden wurde. Gerade bei Unternehmen müßte dies doch ein K.O-Kriterium sein.

denn Link mit dem Log-File habe ich jetzt hochgeladen.

Was wichtiges habe ich noch noch herausgefunden. Beim Syncml-Client muß die Server-Version fest auf SyncML 1.1 gestellt werden, sonst gibt es auch bei der Synchronisation mit den Adressen Probleme.

Synchronsieren funktioniert jetzt wie folgt:
Sommerzeit ist jetzt OK und Wiederholungstermin über den Karteireiter Wiederholungen sind OK.

Was nicht funktioniert ist, wenn ich im Karteireiter 'Allgemein' das Enddatum und die Endzeit auf einen anderen Tag setze. Synchronisiert wird dann nur der erste Tag, aber so als wäre die Option 'nicht blockierend' angewählt.

wieder mal ein Problem mit der Synchronisation mit dem Palm und dazu vorab noch eine Frage:

Wie und wann werden den Aktualisierungen und Patches in jeweils die aktuelle Version von egroupware eingepflegt. Ich frage deshalb, weil wir im Zuge einer Serverportierung gleich auf die neue Version 1.6.002 umsteigen wollten. Beim Testen stellte sich heraus, dass die gleiche Sommerzeitproblematik wie aus 1.6.001 vorliegt. Also auf deiner Seite nach Patches gesucht und dann auch gefunden.

Aber jetzt kommt es:

Bei Varianten 1
(eGroupWare-1.6.002+SyncML-Extensions-20091025.tar.gz

wird bei der Synchronisation mit dem Palm immer 1 Stunde dazuaddiert also aus 15:00 Uhr wird 16:00 Uhr egal ob Sommer-oder Winterzeit. Die Zeitdauer eines Termins wird auch nicht mitübertragen

Bei Variante 2
Originale 1.6.002-Version und Patch 'eGroupWare-1.6.002-SyncML-Extensions-20091025.patch.gz' wird zwar richtig synchronisiert (egal ob Winter oder Sommerzeit) aber Wiederholungstermine werden nicht synchronisert, d.h. nur der erste Termin wird übertragen.

Ich hoffe dazu gibt es eine schnelle Lösung.

die Kalendar API kann entweder Zeiten in Usertime (eingestellt pro User in dessen allg. Einstellungen) oder in Serverzeit liefern. SyncML verwendet bisher immer Serverzeit und der Horde Code überträgt die Timestamps nach UTC. Du lieferst für PalmOS jetzt YmdTHis Strings, damit der Horde Code die Zeit in Serverzeit läßt. Besser wäre für PalmOS statt 'server' einfach 'ts' als $date_format zu verwenden, oder gleich 'YmdTHis':

mein aktueller Patch enthaelt nun eine Anpassung fuer PalmOS. Wird ein entsprechender Client erkannt, werden alle Zeiten als Serverzeit uebertragen. Kannst Du mal testen und mit aus dem Error-Log Deines Server die Daten Deines Clients mitteilen (steht in den "setSupportedFields" Zeilen)?

man koennte von eGW zu PalmOS Geraeten die Zeiten in lokaler Zeit schicken/empfangen. Dann wird aber die lokale Zeitzone des Servers auch auf dem Palm verwendet.

Ich habe zu dem Thema folgendes im Synthesis Forum gefunden:

Der Palm-Client ist darauf angewiesen, dass der Server die Zeiten richtig in Lokalzeit umrechnet, da PalmOS selber kein verlässliches Zeitzonenhandling hat und deshalb keine Zeiten in UTC empfangen kann. Darum schlagen hier Fehler des Servers sichtbar durch.

Bei den meisten anderen Clients (auch bei unseren Win Mobile PDA-Clients) kann der Server UTC versenden, und der Client rechnet diese dann in die Lokalzeit um, womit der Server von der Umrechnung entlastet wird (bzw. es keine Rolle spielt, wenn dort ein Fehler drin ist).

Ohne Zweifel ist 10:05 UTC in Deutschland (GMT+1) 11:05.
Das verwendete Format yyyymmmddThhmmssZ besagt UTC.
Das Problem liegt also eindeutig beim Client. Du solltest also einen Bug bei Funambol (bzw. dem Hersteller der SyncML Implementierung auf dem Palm) melden.

Nach der Anwendung meines Patches schreibt eGW in das error-log des Webservers ziemlich ausfuehrliche Debugmeldungen. Unter anderem werden auch die uebertragenen Daten ausgegeben (VCALENDAR/VEVENT).

Steffen, kannst Du mal in den logs Deines Webservers nachsehen, was genau zum Palm uebertragen wird? Die Zeiten sollten als UTC an den Client gehen. Wenn dieser bei der Umrechnung den Fehler einbaut, kann man eGW-seitig nichts machen.
Fuege am besten mal ein Beispiel an.

Seems to have something to do with the calendar.

This bug is fixed in our subversion repository now.

You can update via subversion with the following commands:
cd /path/to/egroupware
svn update * # mind the */asterisk

To check if you have svn installed try running svn version. To install the svn command under Linux install the package "subversion". For Windows you can use eg. TortoiseSVN (http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org).

Did some further investigation and found out, that the error with the tickets depends on custom fields I added to the trackerconfiguration. If this field is left empty, the tickets are shown as expected - all the others mount into an errormessage.

...so it appears that the privs of the LINK are being checked, and that basically symlinks here are not handled correctly.

Summary: #2358 - [PATCH] The news_admin sitemgr module should respect 'what to show' selection

When providing a page which is used to display the news, the selection of what should be shown should be respected. Only if nothing is selected, a fallback should take place, selecting reasonable items to show.
The attached patch removes the current restriction.

Nach der Anwendung meines Patches schreibt eGW in das error-log des Webservers ziemlich ausfuehrliche Debugmeldungen. Unter anderem werden auch die uebertragenen Daten ausgegeben (VCALENDAR/VEVENT).

This bug is fixed in our subversion repository now.

You can update via subversion with the following commands:
cd /path/to/egroupware
svn update * # mind the */asterisk

To check if you have svn installed try running svn version. To install the svn command under Linux install the package "subversion". For Windows you can use eg. TortoiseSVN (http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org).
