Export addressbook ?

Hello

I use Thunderbird on a 64 bts Linux platform (Mandriva), and there is no
way to sync addressbook with EgW 1.6(001) : sogo connector do not want
to work (install and no extension after..) and funambol (0.9 64 bts) do
not want to sync emails ....

So, I want to export/import addressbook, but I don't see export function
in EgW : ?????? It's not possible to export addressbook ???? Or I have
not understand or see something ...

Thanks for help, should not be a solution to change version of clients
allways... (perhaps there is a solution, sync with kadressbook and
export after : wow, complew isn't it ?)

The problem was that I used the Radio Button not a "selected box"...

As a system administrator i don't look at websites apart google and
wikipedia. ;)

Most of my users say me that they cannt anymore use the 'edit mode' of
sitemanager after migrating to 1.6.

I logon everytime with the main egw site, and works.
My users logon by the way of the sitemger login box, and effectively
the edit mode are disabled, but because the 'sitemgr site inside egw'
are not even authenticated.

AFAI've understood the troble can come from these settings in admin ->
site configuration:

+ Use cookies to pass sessionid:
+ Cookie path (allows multiple eGW sessions with different directories,
has problemes with SiteMgr!):
+ Cookie domain (default empty means use full domain name, for SiteMgr
eg. ".domain.com" allows to use the same cookie for egw.domain.com and
www.domain.com):
+ Check IP address of all sessions (switch it off, if users are randomly
thrown out: "Your session could not be verified.")

but really i don't undersand how to set them... now i have 'yes' as the
fist answer, 'Document root (default)' as the second, empty the third
and 'No' for the latter.

Also, i've egw and sitemanager in two virtualhosts, both have:

php_value session.save_path /var/local/egroupware/sessions

How can i prevent this? Somone can explain me?

You either enter something different or using a different software.

I just tried it again and it works as described, thought I entered what
I wrote you and not "2, 3, 4...".

Name is not lines but Rows. Beside that, no idea why it's not working
for you.

No category field when adding contacts

(Hope my english will be understandable :D )
I'm using egroupware 1.6.001.
Addressbook's contacts are stored in an openldap base.
I'm trying to get contacts categories working.
For the moment, when i want to add or edit a contact, in the 'Details' tab, the category field does not appear, even if i create one or more categories.
Actually, when adding a contact, lots of field are missing (street, town, country, anniversary and categories).

After some search in this forum and in google, i've found that i had to add the evolutionperson.schema in ldap so i did it with the evolutionperson.schema found in addressbook/doc/ :

include /etc/openldap/schema/core.schema
include /etc/openldap/schema/cosine.schema
include /etc/openldap/schema/inetorgperson.schema

Hi Michael,

in the Stylite EPL 9.2 (end of this year coming) you can choose between
different favorite-views in calender, so one can/will be your one
calendar or a group and you can combine this with each filter (category,
user, group, ressource, show only accepted or invitations ...)

May be this can be a good solution for you ...

Reg: Adding a task to a project

I installed eGW1.6 in my system. It is working fine. But I am not finding any feature to add a task to a project, check the task status, which members are busy and who are free to assign the task.... I found the InfoLog application is some what related, but it is not suitable for our requirement. Whats our reqirement is, we need to create some tasks to project. is there any facility for doing this in eGW.

If I'm logged in to eGrouware and I am on the calendar view and I have chosen "User 1"'s calendar then I can see this calendar... fine! If I log out now, and log in again I still see the calendar of the "User 1". But if I log in again, I want to have shown my own calendar (Or maybe the one of a specific group). Where can I set this?

When syncing Outlook (Office 2007) with eGW (1.6002) using funambol (ver 7.2), I get all of the contacts transferred that I have access under eGW to (including accounts, other users
adressbooks, etc).

Is there a way to sync only my Personal (eGW) addressbook and not all of the
available data?

Configure default columns filters for all users

Hello

Is it possible to force the configuration (or put as default) of the columns selected in the table view for example in the Infolog.

I mean: I've created may user fields for Infolog and all of them are shown as filters in the table and it's impossible to manage it (appart from that I don't need the filter in many of them).
I've configured it to my needs but when I create other users, they have all colums activaded instead of what I've configured (as admin).

I am upgrading from egroupware 1.00 to 1.6. The upgrade appeared to run
smoothly, however, I can no longer manage user accounts. The admin
tables will not complete the upgrade. When I turn on debug messages, I
get this message:

app_registered(): checking admin, table: egw_applications... app
previously registered.
process->upgrade(): Incoming : appname: admin, version: 1.0.0, status: U
*process->upgrade(): No table upgrade available for appname: admin,

admin tables upgraded.

What can I do? I'm afraid to delete the admin app and start over but I
can if that is my only option.

Following up, creating the recurring appointment on the iphone seems okay
until you sync with egw, then the appointment again shifts backward 1 day on
the iphone. The egw calendar still displays it at the proper date and time,
but the iphone after syncing does not :-(

Next had user remove recurrent appointments from the iphone, creating a new
recurrent one for tuesday and a recurrent one for wednesday. After sync, the
tuesday appointment kept it's location while the wednesday one was shifted
back to tuesday.

Syncing multiple eGroupware calendars with Sunbird

Hi all,

Would appreciate any tips on this issue. I am completely stumped.

I have set up eGroupware on server. I wish to logon to eGroupware caldav calendars using Sunbird on client machines. On client machines I am able to load up individual calendars from eGroupware in Sunbird (using https: //domain.com/egroupware/groupdav.php/calendar). I can also load up two or three caldav calendendars in Sunbird simultaneously using https: //user:password@domain.com/egroupware/groupdav.php/user/calendar.

However, when I load up more than two or three calendars into Sunbird I start to run into problems. With 3 or more calendars loaded, whenever I try to delete an event I get an error message stating "An error occurred when trying to write to the calendar [user]! Error number: MODIFICATION FAILED" in an oversized box.

Checking the error console gives these messages...
"Warning: There has been an error reading data for calendar: [user]. However, this error is believed to be minor, so the program will attempt to continue. Error code: DAV_REMOVE_ERROR. Description: There was an error deleting the item from the server."

and...
"Error: An error occurred when writing to the calendar Ben (work)! Error code: MODIFICATION_FAILED. Description:
Source File: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Mozilla%20Sunbird/components/calItemModule.js -> file:///C:/Program%20Files/Mozilla%20Sunbird/js/calCalendarManager.js
Line: 952"

I also get the same error occasionally when trying to change the time of events, but this is only intermittent. Once the error is reported, the calendar is locked and becomes effectively read only.

I am using Sunbird ver 0.9 and egroupware ver 1.6.

Would be grateful for any ideas. I'm totally baffled. I've seen that a similar issue seems to have arisen with google calendar syncing previously, but can't work out whether anybody found a solution for that.

SQL error on addressbook csv import

I'm working with eGw 1.6002 with a Postgresql db backend on a CentOS 5.2
linux server. I'm trying to import a csv file into the eGw addressbook.
I'm seeing this error on the INSERT statement generated by eGW:

*ERROR: syntax error at or near "," at character 308

*That appears to be relating to the statement:

**INSERT INTO egw_addressbook (contact_owner,contact_private,n_family,n_given,n_prefix,n_fn,n_fileas,org_name,contact_title,contact_role,adr_one_street,adr_one_street2,adr_one_locality,adr_one_region,adr_one_postalcode,tel_work,tel_cell,tel_fax,contact_email,contact_creator,contact_modified,contact_modifier,,contact_id)**

Notice that near the end of the statement, just before the
****"contact_id" ****field, there is an extra apostrophe!

Is this a bug? Is there a way I can get eGw to stop adding the extra
apostrophe? I've done some PHP coding but I have no idea where to look.

I found the jpgraph1.5.x folder in projectmanager\inc folder of the eGW installation directory. So I kept my jpgraph 3.x in the same proj manager\inc folder andmodified the class.projectmanager_ganttchart.inc.php file.

I dont know the above process is right or wrong. Please tell me where to place my jpgraph3.x folder and what are the files needed to be modified?

What my requirement is I want to display gantt chart in project manager of egroupware. please tell me what i have to do?

Please reply me as early as possible. It is very urgent.
