ekiga.net STUN server down

[Andre Robatino]

The STUN server stun.ekiga.net (alias for stun01.sipphone.com which is
Gizmo5's STUN server) has been down for a while.  Should Ekiga have its
own STUN server?

Given my cursory understandings of a Dynamic DNS
Server and a STUN server, the two appear similar.  
Can anyone cite a document which explains the
distinction?
