Hello,
For some reason device em8300_ma-0 is not created using both 0.16.4 and 0.17.0 versions. My system is AMD64 dual core running CBLFS with 2.6.24.4 kernel. Last version that generated such device was SVN checkout dated 1/1/08. If I go back to January's SVN it does not work either now... Any ideas? I doubt you tried any SVN checkout, since SVN has never been used for the development of this driver. Are you using the "audio_driver=oss" parameter for the em8300 module? ALSA has been the default since 0.16.0. No, as Christian answer before I did, those devices are not supposed to be created with audio_driver=alsa, as they are OSS devices.
