evince as internal viewer in Firefox 3.5?

Hello,

in the past, evince was quite good for showing up pdf
documents within Firefox. This has altered, probably with
Firefox 3.5. If the html code includes target="_self", a terribly
old ghostview variant shows up. I have tried to set evince as
the viewer in the application folder inside Firefox settings,
no success. I'm using Fedora 11. Any hints or suggestions?
