Hello all !
I would like to request some features for Gedit.
Considering that Gedit is the default editor in Ubuntu, and it's used by many many people, I think it would be wonderful to implement features like:
- duplicate line
- sort lines
- strip first character
- indent lines
- strip last character
- chose line endings (windows / linux / apple)
- chose file encoding type (ANSI, UTF-8, UTF-16, etc)
would be wonderful to implement many other features that Notepad2 has:

like:
- Url decode / encode
- regexp searching and replacing
- Convert tabs to spaces and vice versa
- modify lines (add prefix and suffix)
- Go to line
etc
