feeding Kaffeine an ISO

Was told here one can feed kaffeine the iso of an unencrypted dvd. Well,
doesn't work here on kubuntu 8.04. A window pops up "kaffeine codec installer" which says "preparing" then I get an error "Codec package is already installed". That's it. Now? Last time I checked (some time ago ;) iso playback was > working here (debian). Dang. I'll file a bug report on Kubuntu then.
