flatshifter install

Hello list,

I'd like your opinion on the following. I'm installing a flatshifter on my 2003 R1 engine and it needs a vacuum connection to one cylinder only. The instructions say that one of the ways to achieve this is by removing an air adjustment screw in the throttle bodies, or use a blanked of connection. Even though the Flatshifter crew have been very helpful I can't find a blanked of connection on the throttle bodies but I'm a bit worried about removing a screw. Since these screws are used for balancing the throttle bodies would you think this has a big impact on the way the engine runs?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Maarten Siegers

graham from flatshifter here, the blanking screws for balancing the throttle bodies are only to literally close off the hole you remove them to attached a gauge to measure and then adjust the balance so they do not actually do anything , but normally R1 engines have a piece of black pipe hanging down from the throttle bodies that does nothing and is blanked off this is ideal for the blipper, hope this has helped.
