freenx hangsHello!
Our users use java based software on redhat 5.4 x86-64 server connecting to this server with nxclient from windows machines. Problem is that sometimes (and really often enough) their sessions hungs, they see white screen, only way to solve this is to terminate session and start new one. Session can be suspended, but after resume they see only white screen. Looks like software bug causes nx to hang. Unfortunately, I don't know how to reproduce problem. Could you tell me what can I do to solve this problem? ________________________________________________________________ Were you helped on this list with your FreeNX problem? I suggest the following method of analysis: when a user's session is in the frozen state, check the CPU usage of their nxagent on the NX server host. Is it using 100% CPU? Also check the CPU usage of nxssh and the X server on the NX client host. Try killing the program that triggers the problem. Does the session un-freeze? If not, is there any other change in the nxagent behaviour? When the session is in the frozen state, run strace on it and obtain a log of what it is doing. Analyse it or post it here. -- Mario Becroft <mb@...> ________________________________________________________________ Were you helped on this list with your FreeNX problem?
