hi fellow riders new to the forum and after a bit of info if someone can help !
just bourght a virago 1100 1986 only 6,000 mls on the clock had it deliverd today
washed all the road crap off it then after tea took it for a spin the first thing
i was'nt to happy with was that it clunked into first gear after going a few hundred yards
it clunks in all the gears the gearbox seems clunky both ways (up & down) the cluch dos'nt
seem to be slipping is it a wet cluch could it have the wrong oil in it ?
any info will be a help besides that the bike run well pull's like a tractor

A good "rule of thumb" is to change all the fluids and filters when you get a used bike. You don't know what is in it, if anything, no matter what someone tells you. Follow the recommendations in your Service or Owners Manual and change the oil, filter and differential gear oil.
