gpesyncd and event in the pastHello,
I have used multisync0.90 and gpesyncd (on my laptop) to make a backup of my gpe data. But are synced only the future events. (and I can see using directly gpesyncd that UIDLIST gives only event in future). How can I backup easily, all the event ? I am busy with the Maemo Fremantle port at the moment but if you can reproduce the problem and log a bug report I will try to take another look at it. Please include in the bug report the steps for creating an event in the past which does not show up in the UIDLIST (for example, how long in the past does it have to be before it does not show up)? By the way, you can also try exporting the calendar from within gpe-calendar (using the menu or use the "-e" command line option). See if that behaves any differently. Re: gpesyncd and event in the pastHello,
First, thanks for the answer. See if that behaves > any differently. With -e it has the same behaviour. Now one explanation, I have found : 1) I was using on my laptop a calendar database that comes from my Ipaq. But the versions are different : the old gpe 2.7 version on my Ipaq and a recent one on my laptop. On the ipaq the access on gpe-calendar is very slow. It is quick on the laptop. 2) on my Ipaq gpesyncd gives the good (in sense of complete) UIDLIST, not on my laptop. 3) reading the internal database : on my ipaq the field calendar of table events is always 1, on my laptop, it is 1 only for the events seen with gpe-calendar (that is the ones from the month view, that was opened when using gpe-calendar). 4) I have changed the field calendar to 1 for all entries, and now the export/sync is complete. One question : what is the good behaviour ? You can see the various calendars you have set up on the right hand side of the GPE Calendar screen (as long as you have the sidebar enabled). Or use gpe-calendar -C. Every event is in one calendar (and only one). The command line -e option will only export the events from one calendar at a time (use -c to specify the calendar). However, the gpesyncd code is supposed to loop through all the calendars -- but I could believe there is a bug with this. If you find a way to make it happen again please post a bug report telling me how to reproduce it.
