It worked before, I tried reinstalling libgtk2.0-dev to no avil... Used exactly the same cinfig options from last compile/install. System is Kubuntu 7.10 64 bit system. Also could you provide ~/tmp/trylink.log? If you don't have ~/tmp, just mkdir ~/tmp and retry.
