Hi folks,
my Gtk# / Mono app uses gtkhtml-sharp, which must be installed manually. On
Linux I can do the installation without encountering any trouble...but on
Windows Vista or Windows 7?? Ouch!!!!
The problem is the fact that Windows declares the GAC subdir readonly, so
runnung the gacutil results in an ACCESS DENIED error. Even worse: It's
impossible to change the access rights of the GAC subdir to read-write.
WinVista does accept the de-selection of the READONLY attribute...but after
clicking OK this attribute is there again.
Any suggestions for a workaround? Maybe there will be a Mono / Gtk# Windows
installer with gtkhtml-sharp already included? Thank you for your comments.
