yes hohoooo h.264 is a codec

.flv is a fileformat

and formerly the only fileformat that could be played
.flv could also be h.264 encodet, i just thought the fileformat hasent changed for that...
... but sorry yes adobe also means that mpeg4 fileformat should be used.
sorry

.mp4 files dident get streamed properly some has sound but vidodate dident get encoded correctly, not in the oflaDemo client which is in the download..
is the downloaded oflaDemo.swf flashplayer9 as3? i guess not, would an older flashplayer be able to play h.264, no.

The "correct" extension in Adobe's case is F4V for Mpeg4 / h.264 encoded content. If you want a video that works, use the sample that comes with FMS3: AdobeBand_1500K_H264.mp4
Like I stated in my email/post, I have clean-up to do in addition to making the video config packet dynamic (the one that contains the decoder settings).

Clearly said, does it mean we could either stream .flv (Sorenson or vp6 or h264) or .mp4 only if one wants h264 encoded content streamed ?
Sorryto ask;

What about keyframe metadatas ? can i still use them with h264 encoded content ?

If you specify the flv extension that is what you will get, it will not include h264 content. FLV is expected to be any of the following video codecs: vp6, screenvideo, or h263. The audio will also not support AAC / MP4A for the flv extension. The f4v, mp4, and mov extensions will be provided by the MP4Reader class. The f4v file may contain avc1, vp6e, h264, mp4 for video and aac, mp4a, mp3, pcm for audio (there may be more but thats what I recall). Along side the MP4Reader is an audio only reader for AAC/MP4A files in the same style as the MP3Reader; it will be released at the same time and is for audio only files.

The "correct" extension in Adobe's case is F4V for Mpeg4 / h.264 encoded content. If you want a video that works, use the sample that comes with FMS3: AdobeBand_1500K_H264.mp4
Like I stated in my email/post, I have clean-up to do in addition to making the video config packet dynamic (the one that contains the decoder settings).

is the downloaded oflaDemo.swf flashplayer9 as3? i guess not, would an older flashplayer be able to play h.264, no.

Ok all, now it works with all the mp4 media i could find.. audio and video.. If you guys find a clip that doesn't play let me know and provide the audio and video config byte dump (debug level logging on MP4Reader). There is a timing issue with quicktime mov files but the audio plays very well (this is low-priority of course). You may request media in any of the following ways:

f4v:mymediafile
f4v:mymediafile.f4v
f4v:mymediafile.mp4
f4v:mymediafile.mov
mymediafile.f4v
mymediafile.mp4
mymediafile.mov

Next Ill get the f4a / m4a streamer working.. :)

Enjoy,
Paul
