hal-find-by-property and boolean keys

Hi,

I tried using the following to detect whether blank media was in a
computer's dvd-rw drive, but even when media was present no devices were
returned.

hal-find-by-property  --key "storage.removable.media_available" --string
"true"

I see that this key has a boolean value rather than a string value. Is
there any way to use hal-find-by-property or a similar comand to search
for devices via non-string properties?
