I'm in the market for my first full-face helmet. Does anyone have a recommendation for a local store that has reasonable prices and a good selection to check out? I'm hoping to limit my cost to around $150 or so. Also, any decent helmets to recommend? [Carl]: As others recommended, trying on a helmet is critical. Sizes are iffy and shape is even more critical. Local stores should be having fall open house sales soon. Pick up a copy of Winding Road MOTORCYCLE TIMES at your local shoppe (Myers Engineering) for the ads. < http://www.motorcycletimes.com/> Newenough is a great source as is <http://www.motorcycleleatherexchange.com/index.html> For reviews: < http://www.webbikeworld.com/> And on Adventure Rider <http://www.advrider.com/forums/> If this is your first full face helmet, consider a Modular/flip up helmet. Web Bike world had good reviews. For my second flip-up, I opted for a HJC Symax II. Comfy and the flip down shade is the cats pajamas. Re: helmet shoppingDitto on the Symax 2 recommendation. I wear prescription glasses and
the internal shade is the bee's knees, compared to a tinted shield that needs to be changed out. Also nice for Third Street Tunnel, Rosslyn Tunnel et al.
