high cpu use for 1.0.7.15Hi all,
I'm experiencing an abnormal cpu usage for TeXmacs (current svn). This does not happen with 1.0.7.14. It happens to me that TeXmacs start to use 90% of one cpu as long as I'm working on some non-trivial document, maybe with more than one window open. This is on the Mac (10.7) with the Qt version. is anybody experiencing the same problem? Re: high cpu use for 1.0.7.15Hi,
I just opened a 16 page document with some math and about ten linked images. The cpu for TeXmacs seems to oscillate between 0 and 40 % but then goes to 100% when saving to pdf, moreover hanging for about ten-fifteen seconds. Scrolling the obtained pdf at pages containing images makes Preview cpu go up to 154% (though I don't know what that means, maybe it's using my brains too...) Re: high cpu use for 1.0.7.15Yes. I feel that should be something related to delayed messages (the mechanisms which handles the autosave) getting evaluated too often.

Re: high cpu use for 1.0.7.15Hi Julien,
the documents in which I experience the problem are very simple few formulas, no images, few pages. And you get 80% even without doing nothing. max On 11 avr. 2012, at 16:51, Julien Frontisi wrote: > Hi, > I just opened a 16 page document with some math and about ten linked images. > The cpu for TeXmacs seems to oscillate between 0 and 40 % but then goes to 100% when saving to pdf, > moreover hanging for about ten-fifteen seconds. > Scrolling the obtained pdf at pages containing images makes Preview cpu go up to 154% > (though I don't know what that means, maybe it's using my brains too...) > Julien > > Le 11 avr. 2012 à 16:30, Gubinelli Massimiliano a écrit : > >> Hi all, >> I'm experiencing an abnormal cpu usage for TeXmacs (current svn). according to MacOS 10.7 's activity monitor. Re: high cpu use for 1.0.7.15OK, I reach 99% cpu without any line break.
I don't seem to get it anymore when I type return often to have short paragraphs. Re: high cpu use for 1.0.7.15Hi Max,
Is this annoying problem still present? I checked the autosave part and it autosaving seems to be done every 120 seconds, as expected. Why do you think that it is autosaving which causes this problem? I don't see it. Re: high cpu use for 1.0.7.15Hi Joris,
I haven't checked lastly, maybe it is a problem with my build, I cannot say now. On my build of the current svn it essentially prevents me to work since after a while (few minutes) the cpu usage goes to 90% and the computer starts to heat up. The file is small, maybe less than 4 pages of math with no fancy things. I had the sensation that was some abnormal behavior in interrupt handler. to confirm I should recompile maybe with a different configuration. But on my current build, last time I checked, it was a very consistent bug, which happened each time i started to work on the file. max On 17 avr. 2012, at 22:44, Joris van der Hoeven wrote: > Hi Max, > > Is this annoying problem still present? > > I checked the autosave part and it autosaving seems to be done > every 120 seconds, as expected.
