how do I mark text in index.docbook that should not be translated?

Hi,

in my index.docbook (trunk/playground/games/doc/kmj) I have
several things that should stay english in all translations.

how can I mark them to be untranslatable?

concretely I explain how to define scoring rules for my game.
The syntax for those rules must always be english. Example
strings:

payees=X
payforall

First of all, thank you for your programming efforts.

Just put untranslatable string in tag <literal></literal>.

Example:
<literal>payees=X</literal>

And please, if you can, avoid using empty tags (they break translations)  
like 751-765 in KMJ documentation.

thank you. Now I even found it on kde.org, well hidden.

removed (locally). I am surprised that you always translate
everything I commit so quickly. I think I should make less
frequent documentation commits - normally I divide my changes
into single commits knowing that I will continue soon, but
that of course is double work for you.
