how do I use rg with fluidsynth?

fluidsynth -m alsa_seq $HOME/soundfonts/'FluidR3 GM.SF2'


That command line did not do anything but this:
tim@true:~$ fluidsynth -m alsa_seq $HOME/soundfonts/'FluidR3 GM.SF2'
cca_open_socket: could not connect to host 'localhost', service '14541'
cca_init: could not connect to server 'localhost' - disabling ladcca
Parameter '/home/warren/soundfonts/

FluidR3 GM.SF2' not a SoundFont or MIDI fileor error occurred identifying it.
fluidsynth: ALSA driver: Using format s16, rw, interleaved
FluidSynth version 1.0.8
Copyright (C) 2000-2006 Peter Hanappe and others.
Distributed under the LGPL license.
SoundFont(R) is a registered trademark of E-mu Systems, Inc.
......Rosegarden appears to be hooked up to fluidsynth, since it gives me:
"128:0 synth input port (17455:0)" in the instrument parameters region of RG, but there is no sound still...
Got any ideas?

Did you download the soundfont called FluidR3 GM.SF2 and put it in
your home directory under ~/soundfonts?
