how to save external ip addresses with big ip

Hi,
I have two bigips which are each taking up an external ip at the
moment.  Unfortunately, I only have a limited number of ips and once I
add my virtual servers, I'm an ip short.  Is there a way for the bigip
to share its external ip with a virtual server?

Everytime I create a virtual server with the same ip as the bigip it
complains.  :-(

I don't really have a need for the bigips to have an external ip at
all, but I do need traffic behind them to get out through them though.

Thanks,
Chris

This really is not so much of bigip issue as it is basic networking issue.
Device has to have IP address in order to do the routing.

Have you tried to add the virtual server with the option "noarp" ?

   Best regards,
     David.
