how to screen recording like screentoaster.com

i found this site http://www.screentoaster.com/record  where only by
downloading an applet the user is able to record his screen plus a
webcam, do anyone know how they do that ?

uses an applet to capture the screen and send it to red5 where it's encoded to flash video using Xuggler. The code is open sourced if you'd like to see how it's done
