hyperlinks problem when mac compiles

Dear all,

I have a macbook with 10.5.6 mac os version. I also use Texdhop 2.18. I just completed my thesis but the editorial office need to be hyperlinks in every citation and figures and tables. While when I download the latex template from the University the pdf file has the hyperlinks but when I compile the file from my mac then the bookmarks and the hyperlinks disappear. So I am pretty sure that it is a problem of latex or my mac. Does anybody know the solution?
