Hi,
I have some mp4 files (from BBC iPlayer in ipod format grabbed using
get_iplayer). They have an .mov extension.
These with vlc and also transcode to mpg using the same instance of vlc-nox
that I have on my mythbox. That file then plays ok via the file browser in
mvpmc.
Attempting to play these files from mvpmc, in their original format, isn't
working. In the mvpmc file browser, the file is listed but selecting it
does not result in a transcode request to the vlc server instance.
I would seem to have mvpmc and vlc server set up OK as I can play various
other non MPEG2 files in the same directory. These play OK and I can see
the mvpmc requests to port 4212 to vlc server. However, selecting the
original iPlayer file results in no transcode request to vlc.
Any help would be really appreciated.
