image capturing with a short interval

Hello

I have difficulties to take interval pictures every 1s.
Typing < gphoto2 --capture-image --frames "10" --interval "1" >
results in photos being taken every 3-8 seconds. After capturing the
picture,
the camera seems to save to the memory card (instead of using the
camera memory).
There is a message flashing up:
< Downloading ...|---------------------- \50% >, and a second message
< keine Pause (6 Sekunden zurück)> (in English probably: <not pausing,
retarded by 5 seconds>)

However, when I program the camera directly to take interval pictures
(via the camera menu),
an interval of 1s is no problem.

I'd appreciate any help and/or experience with other cameras.

Mark

The issue here is that "capture to SDRAM" means "let the camera
capture to RAM and download it to the PC immediately". The download
takes around 5 seconds usually.

For higher rates try saving to the card for now. (Not sure
if we can easily add buffered RAM capture and background download,
I suspect not :/)

Ciao, Marcus
