image scale and print issue with gimp win 2.4.6...

So i have an image that is extremely large, 1600x1200. i have adjusted
the print size to 2"x2", however when i print it seems like this is
completely ignored and the large, original size is what is printed.

maybe i am missing something here, but even the image settings tab of
the print dialog i see a 2x2 image that i can move around.

any thoughts, or ideas?
