imp does not mark mail as seen

Hi,

When a user reads a mail message the mail in the inbox folder does not
appear marked as seen, even if the user selects the message and marks it
as seen in the drop down menu, when the inbox is reloaded it reappears
as unseen.

Any ideas?

Have a look at the message using another mail client, like Thunderbird.
That will tell you if IMP is not interpreting the seen flag, or not
setting it.

Also, while there, see if Thunderbird can do it, which will tell you if
it's an IMP problem or a server problem.
