in London next week... on business, last minute emergency thing for one of our clients.
It would be nice to break up the monotony of corporate information-services troubleshooting with a get-together with some fellow sc junkies... some evening for dinner? I'm not sure of the daily schedule just yet. Should be arriving Sunday evening. I won't have my mac :( but since Psycollider has picked up so much stability in the last few weeks (thanks to Chris's extraordinary efforts!!) I should still be able to do some coding in the off hours. !! Hope to hear from some of you. hjh -- James Harkins /// dewdrop world jamshark70@... http://www.dewdrop-world.net "Come said the Muse, Sing me a song no poet has yet chanted, Sing me the universal." -- Whitman _______________________________________________ sc-users mailing list sc-users@... http://lists.create.ucsb.edu/mailman/listinfo/sc-users |

OK, let's say that tentatively then.
Looking forward to it! Where is Brick Lane Curry? I'm going to be at the Sainsbury's offices on Holborn, near Chancery Lane tube and the hotel is just a couple of blocks away. hjh On Feb 29, 2008, at 5:26 AM, Christopher Frauenberger wrote:

Brick Lane is a street in East London well known for its many curry places. It would be easily reached by the Central Line from Holborn or Chancery Lane - exit Liverpool street and walk over to Brick lane. I have been to this one before, its food is excellent and its prices reasonable... http://www.restaurant-guide.com/preem-restaurant.htm Map: http://tinyurl.com/2jpbrj Chris _______________________________________________ sc-users mailing list sc-users@... http://lists.create.ucsb.edu/mailman/listinfo/sc-users |

Re: in London next weekCould you please shut up?
Of course, its a free world (no?), and ive been told some people can do as they want, but I feel all this London-extravaganza is getting beyond whats reasonable. Here we are spread around the world, up to our necks in maxmspers with nearest sc-user all too far away, and you keep messing about this 'London next week' thingy day after day. Youre either brave or really stupid! Has it never occured to you who else might be reading this? Trained people spotting on you discussing things like Quarks, UGens, Blowups and Crashes and last-days-coming-v.3.2 and such - and in the end comes some strange gathering at a central London curry-house? Youd better dress carefully. For fairness sake we expect a full proceedings, curry-factor, 'pints/n/who', discussion-threads etc, not to mention a few new specialized local curry quarks to play more with this avesome tool. Please get over with it. _______________________________________________ sc-users mailing list sc-users@... http://lists.create.ucsb.edu/mailman/listinfo/sc-users |

Re: in London next weekOoops!
Ive been told that some people might actually have read my 'complaints' about the London qurry-initiative seriously! Im really sorry about this. The post had a rather harsh tone, but it was never meant as anything else than a joke. I really hope the London-metting was a good one, and that there will be many more, even discussed here on the group. Re: in London next weekDS> Anyway, we had a good night, despite you ;) Im glad to hear (honestly...)... Actually, it turns out we've just experienced something which might make 2008 stand out as 'The Supercollider year in Oslo'! It lasted 3 days, and was organized as a big coincidence, but it included a visit from the 'Oslo-Köln Protocol' gang - giving several performances and workshops in SC at the State Academy and other places during 3 days, an introductory lecture in SC at the sound-programming course at the University (they're still interested), and a forum on algorithmic composition (mentioning the SC-word many times). The whole event culminated after yesterdays concert, where bypasser could observe 4 people on the same geographic location in Oslo, drinking beer and discussing supercollider patches! Were getting there! Happy colliding! _______________________________________________ sc-users mailing list sc-users@... http://lists.create.ucsb.edu/mailman/listinfo/sc-users |
