jack on ubuntu 9.10Hi all,
I have just upgraded my desktop machine from ubuntu 9.4 to 9.10. Jack used to run really well under the old version (and the prior one). But with the new version it runs abysmally, tons of xruns (up to 20ms) and frequent dropouts, etc. I am also having a similar experience with pulse audio when I run that. Has anybody else experienced this ? I am sure it is not my soundcard, this machine has a pretty nice one which has never given problems like this before. Cheers, Salsaman. http://lives.sourceforge.net _______________________________________________ Jack-Devel mailing list Jack-Devel@... http://lists.jackaudio.org/listinfo.cgi/jack-devel-jackaudio.org |

I'm not gonna comment on the possibility that the ubuntu team have managed to yet again fsck audio and how this will no doubt cause a large amount of undeserved traffic on the net about how crappy the Linux Audio platform is... Just a FYI: linux kernel 2.6.31-14-generic #48-Ubuntu SMP jack 0.116.1 libasound 1.0.20 ATI IXP rev 2 with ALC850 Sound Card jack startup opts: jackd -Z -d alsa Gabriel.
