kaffeine on eee 1000 w/u3100-atscAsus supplies two packages for the combo EEE & U3100:
kaffeine-dtv_0.8.7-2_i386.deb v4ldvbpb_1.7_i386.deb Once these are installed, plugging in the U3100 stick causes kaffeine to start with dvb menus, however, the channel menu does not scan, and the directory pointed to as $HOME/share/apps/kaffeine/ has no dvb-x subdirectory as implied by the kaffeine dvb setup menu. I have installed dvb-utils, and have succesfully scanned to make a channels.info file, but where should that file be moved for kaffeine to use it? You don't need (and can't use) dvb-utils for kaffeine. > Thx Christoph ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Open Source Business Conference (OSBC), March 24-25, 2009, San Francisco, CA -OSBC tackles the biggest issue in open source: Open Sourcing the Enterprise -Strategies to boost innovation and cut costs with open source participation -Receive a $600 discount off the registration fee with the source code: SFAD http://p.sf.net/sfu/XcvMzF8H _______________________________________________ kaffeine-user mailing list kaffeine-user@... https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/kaffeine-user |

Re: kaffeine on eee 1000 w/u3100-atscThanks again for the advice, which I have now followed. Unfortunately
after the update-scan operation, and a new channel scan, kaffeine only finds 2 stations, whereas dvb=utils finds 13??
