Kitchensync and Nokia E61

Hi,

I am facing the exact same problem Adriaan mailed about. I'm trying to sync Kontact with my phone, I'm also running Kubuntu Gutsy. The bluetooth connection to the phone is okay, I can transfer files to and from the memory card in the phone. I've set up a sync group in Kitchensync, entering the phone's Bluetooth address and different channels - I have found a "Device compatibility list" saying channel 10 or 14 are to be used - there's two entries, one says 10, one says 14.
However, when I click on "Sync now", my phone comes up with a promt to accept the connection request which is a good sign, I think - but by the time I have clicked OK, my PC already displays a message that the synchronization failed.
Any ideas, anyone?

Moto Q with WM5

I use 10.3 with kde 3.5.7 and have a Moto Q that i want to sync contacts etc. I
have kitchensync installed along with the plugin-moto. It does not look like
i am able to sync as nothing happens when i hit "sync". I first started the
app and made a group called Moto Q and then added a member, which is the moto
sync plugin gave it a name and it also asks for a "Device String", which i
left blank as i do not know what is suppose to go there. Can someone help me
sync my crap Q phone using kitchensync?

Kitchensync and Nokia e61i

Hi,

I'm trying to sync my Nokia e61i with my KDE PIM data via bluetooth.
I'm running Kubuntu Gutsy.

Kitchensync version is 0.1 on kde 3.5.8.

I followed the instructions at

and got most of the way. I can now see my phone in konqueror and
managed to transfer a file with konqueror on to the phone.

I'm having no joy trying to sync with kitchensync though. I've tried a
large number of different channels (according to sdptool the
SyncMLClient is on channel 10 and the "Nokia OBEX PC Suite Services"
on Channel 12) with SyncML version 1.1 and 1.2 and always get
connection errors from the phone.

Unfortunately the error codes flash up very quickly, so it is not
possible to read them properly. The two error codes I managed to make
out are 79 and 68. Anybody have any idea what either of these means?

Does anybody have any other advice as to what I can try?

see synce, synce-kde etc... Works well for me onGentoo and my Axim X50.

Syncing with WM2003

Seems there's no documentation for configuring KS.

I cannot figure out how to sync to WM2003, so I presume that's not possible with Linux on my notebook? Am I high and dry? Can I not even connect on a basic level to transfer files?

Debian is not loading any modules when I plug the iPaq into USB. What is it supposed to load? I thought at least ipaq. I have an IBM A22p notebook and HP hx4700 iPaq.

I would love to run Opie, but must run TomTom Navigator, so need Winduhs on the iPaq.

Kontact crass

Hello
I am trying to get Kitchensync to work with my IPAQ hx2410 but every time I
try Kontact crass. I get a message on the IPAQ that it is trying to
synchronise but then totting happens except from that Kontact crass. Can any
buddy help me?

date-time frogging?

I have kitchensync setup and syncing my Dell Axim with korganizer. The first
sync everything goes as expected, the the second and subsequent leave the
times and dates of appointments/events all discombobulated, on both ends..

Seems I have seen this issue before, any solution?
