kopete and jabberit outputs the following message: SSL support could not be initialized for account x...@.... This is most likely because the QCA TLS plugin is not installed on your system. While the qca tls package in slackware/extra is installed. Add other email accounts to Hotmail in 3 easy steps. Find out how. ___________________________________________________ This message is from the kde-linux mailing list. Account management: https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-linux. Well, Kopete for KDE 3 doesn't work with Yahoo anymore here either. I was getting a pop up from the Yahoo admin but now it won't connect at all. No error, just no connection. I don't know why, although I presume us poor old KDE3 users won't get that problem fixed anytime soon ... anyway, Pidgin 2.4.3 works fine with Yahoo. -- David gnome@... authenticity, honesty, community ___________________________________________________ This message is from the kde-linux mailing list. KDE4 is patched for it, and pidgin, but we'll likely NOT see the fix backported to KDE3. -- Ryan Rix (623)-826-0051 Please refrain from mailing me directly in replies, I am subsribing via GMane NNTP. Gee, starting to sound almost Microsoftish there: "You want to talk our new protocol/file format, buy the new version." And "Buy" applies even to free software. Instead of money, you're paying with your own time and effort to install, configure, debug, etc. Never know about backports, though. This kind of thing sounds like it would have absolutely KDE4-dependent connections. It can't be that hard, or Pidgin wouldn't already be talking the new server protocol. I wouldn't be surprised if someone doesn't do a backport. -- David gnome@... authenticity, honesty, community ___________________________________________________ This message is from the kde-linux mailing list.
