Re: lg dare phoneI have used bitpim with LG Dare on my Mac and Linux boxes: both bluetooth and supplied USB cable (though Mac bitpim needed a bit of patching to use usb, which I had to do before) straight out of the box. Once I discovered bluetooth will be blocked by the phone if USB cable is attached. I have not tried Windows. I have uploaded to the phone and downloaded to my computer phonebook, downloaded pictures and videos, recent calls etc. I have not tried ringtones etc. So far, the only thing is that the dates on the pictures on my SD card as reported by bitpim is exactly 10 years and 4 days in the past (so it seems all pictures I took were in 1999). I can't imagine what that bug is due to. Mac bitpim on identify phone has really hung hard on me (hold-down-power-button hard, not take-out-battery hard). So, I do not try that any more. Re: lg dare phoneOn 6/7/2009 5:23 PM, Jim Harrison wrote: IIRC, it worked fine with my first Dare - in fact it worked much better with my Dare than my previous RAZR. I had to return that one and got another, but I somehow misplaced the USB cable and haven't had a chance to test again. Dares don't use the standard phone mini USBs so I need to get out and buy new one.
