libgps with uclibc 0.9.29

For some reason, cgps (uses libgps) crashes immediately after it is invoked
if it is compiled with 0.9.29 but works ok with 0.9.28.2. I vaguely remember
in the past, libgps had some issues with uclibc 0.9.29.

Any insight?

Thanks in advance,

Hi,

Please try the current stable release (0.9.30.1) and provide a complete
backtrace from gdb so we can see what's failing

Just my 2p, but I am building and using gpsd and related tools just fine
with uclibc 0.9.30.1, gcc 4.4 and all the SSP and other hardening
options enabled as per the gentoo hardened profile. This is on x86
