linking UMAT through Abaqus\CAE

Hi all,
I'm on my way to build a UMAT. My question is how to link this UMAT fortran file to Abaqus through the Abaqus\CAE. I tried by
double clicking on Materials, then I choose USER Material, but I couldn't figure out how to link the UMAT fortran file to the material. I hope my question is clear and sorry if it is trivial as I'm new to Abaqus.

P.S. I know how to use the command line (abaqus job=jobname user=user subroutine)

When you create a Job, then go to General tab of the Job editor. It has a
place to link your .for UMAT file.

Hi amr,

you can give the directory of your UMAT-file when defining your job in the 'General' tab of the 'Edit job' window.
