Does anyone know how to add any box of my own links to the portal layout? I
just want to simple offer a few external links to diferent sites to users
but I don't know how to do it so far..

You can use Trean to manage/share the bookmarks and use one of Trean's  
blocks to display on the portal. Alternatively, you would have to  
write your own portal block that simply displays the links.
