Dear Calendarists:
The ancient Babylonian and Macedonian lunisolar calendars followed the 19-year metonic cycle with 7 intercalations per cycle, but 6 of the intercalations were prior to the spring month, and one intercalation was prior to the autumn month.
Is it possible to reduce the equinox wobble range by using such an intercalation scheme? (as opposed to only intercalating prior to the spring month)
