m2eclipse and updating global settings

Hello m2eclipse users,

In latest development build of m2eclipse 0.9.9, there seems to be no way to tell m2eclipse to update global settings, and since m2eclipse appears to cache global settings when external installation is added, making changes to global settings.xml and making m2eclipse aware of these changes requires external installation to be removed and added again.

Can anyone else reproduce this behavior? E.g. by changing local repository URL in global settings.

If yes, IMO it would be nice small improvement if update maven installation global settings feature was supported.

Regards,
Stevo.

m2e does not cache settings. UI may be little out of sync, but both
global and user settings are currently read during each maven request.

In UI, Maven Dependencies list entries show URL to old local repository, even after restart.

During debug session sources get downloaded automatically (have to switch from Debug to Java perspective for sources download to be triggered), but eclipse seems to be configured to use old repository for sources, so even sources get downloaded or are present in new local repository location, they don't get applied - this too happens even after eclipse restart, so it's not just UI out of sync issue.

Regards,
Stevo.

You need to call Update All Maven Dependencies from Project menu... I
agree this is not obvious and opened MNGECLIPSE-1835 to add explicit
"Update settings" button.
