micro : patterns longer than 16 steps?

theres going to be a very simple answer for this I'm sure, but I see you can set the step sequencer to patterns longer than 16 steps, only problem is I can't figure out how to edit anything beyond 16 steps. I keep trying and trying but I can't figure out how to view the next 16 steps or beyond.
