micro modular, changing presets and then resyncing to song

I'm working on a live set where I don't want to start and stop my master sequencer, I want to be able to change presets on the micro modular and then have it jump back into sync with everything else.  currently I use "active" wired to "reset" which obviously wouldn't work for this scenario.  I'm thinking what I want to do is use a cc or a note wired to 'reset' but I'm not quite sure how I would want to go about this.

I'm a pretty new micro user, I mostly only know how to wire up basic synth sequences with it, haven't even got into the logic stuff (what the hell does that stuff do anyway??)
