midisoxGreetings,
I've been writing something to do at the MIDI-level some of what sox does at the audio-level. I've modelled arguments and options on sox, to ease the learning burden. I call it midisox and so far it has: -h, --help, --help-effect=, --interactive, -m, -M, --combine, --version global options; -v and --volume file-options; the - and -n special files; and just five of the effects: pad, repeat, stat, tempo and trim. fade will be next... midisox is available at: http://www.pjb.com.au/midi/midisox.html http://www.pjb.com.au/midi/midisox.html#download and, like it says, you'll need Python3, and the two modules: http://www.pjb.com.au/midi/MIDI.html http://www.pjb.com.au/midi/TermClui.html (click the "./free/MIDI.py" or "./free/TermClui.py" button top-right) It's very young (see #changes) so expect some bugs, indeed please let me know if you find any. I mostly want to say two things: I hope it doesn't offend any sox-sensibilities or trademark copyrights or command-line patents ? I hope it will be a useful contribution at the MIDI-level to all who work with MIDI but who use sox later at the audio-level :-) Peter Billam http://www.pjb.com.au pj@... No probs with what you're doing from my perspective -- hope it goes well. Cheers, Rob ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us!
