migrating from 5.2 to 5.3

Hello everybody!!



Recently i'm implementing  nuxeo 5.2 in my company, i have already the workspaces structure, users, groups and permissions for each workspace,  i'd like to migrate to 5.3 before releasing the App, so i have 2 questions: is there a procedure to migrate from 5.2 to 5.3? it is recommended the migration to 5.3 RC1 while the 5.3 GA gets ready?

Yes. It may be more or less complex depending on your storage. If you
use the VCS storage engine then there are little or no changes.

5.3 GA will run without any change on top of an instance working with 5.3 RC.
So you can start the migration to 5.3 RC now.

Hello Florent and everybody!!


First of all thanks a lot for your response, about the content, i only have the workspaces structure with their respective permissions assigned to groups and users, having 539 workspaces, 274 groups and 212 users, also a separate plug-in jar file containing only configurations and contributions, i'm using VCS storage engine with postgresql 8.3.(I have not any document yet).

Could you give me any link to find information on how to make the migration or could you give me any clue to do this task faster?
