nautilus still depends on gnomevfs???

Just found that nautilus links with gnomevfs???

ldd /usr/local/bin/nautilus | grep gnomevfs
        libgnomevfs-2.so.0 => /usr/lib/libgnomevfs-2.so.0 (0xb7b42000)

Any reason for that?

Its pulled in via libgnomeui. We still need some code from that library,
so we can't totally get rid of it in nautilus. However, progress on
Project Ridley is ongoing, and eventually we'll get there.
